NCMA has created this program to offer educational opportunities for segmental retaining wall to installers, designers and the industry. All the programs are one-day courses and attendees complete an exam to demonstrate their knowledge of the concepts taught during the class.

Designations:

Certified Segmental Retaining Walls Installer – Level I/Basic - CSRWI (SRW Installer-Level I)
The Course teaches installers fundamental SRW installation guidelines, material and system component properties, soils and compaction, the effect of water, and site practices.

Certified Advanced Residential SRW Installer–– CSRWI-A (SRW Installer-Advanced)
This program teaches installers SRW applications and installation techniques for advanced residential and light commercial projects, and is open to NCMA Certified SRW Installers (CSRWI). Advanced topics include: wall layout and planning, water and drainage, cut and fill walls, tiered walls, corners and curves, stairs and patios.

Certified Advanced Commercial SRW Installer -- CSRWI-C (SRW Installer-Advanced Commercial)

This program teaches advanced SRW applications and installation techniques for commercial and transportation projects, and it is open to NCMA-Certified SRW Installers (CSRWI). The program is focused on advanced commercial and transportation applications.

SRW Level I Trainer (SRW Installer-Trainer)
NCMA Level I trainers are trained and authorized to deliver the SRW Installer Basic Course and exam locally. These trainers are NCMA members.

SRW  Advanced Residential Trainer (SRW Installer-Advanced Trainer)
NCMA Advanced Trainers are trained and authorized to deliver the SRW Installer Advanced Residential Course and exam locally.

The NCMA ‘Certified SRW Installer" certificate demonstrates only that the participating Certified SRW Installer has completed the required one-day course of instruction, earned a passing grade on the examination administered at the end of the course, and shown involvement on SRW projects to obtain a certificate.
